Prayer for wisdom and understanding

Feel the necessity to seek the Lord, His word, and His guidance whenever difficult incidents occur. Look to God's Word and prayer to enable your steps.

When we open our ears to hear what the Spirit has to say, we allow our hearts to be encouraged, allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us. God's promises will be fulfilled. We can put our trust in God's Word.

Prayer:

You are the light of the world, Heavenly Father, and your word says you will give me wisdom and understanding. (James 1:5) You do not abandon me as I go through life; rather, you are with me at all times. You will meet my needs when I am frustrated, and you will strengthen me when life wears me down.

As you lead me into a life of fruitfulness and joy, please help me to follow your ways. May I flourish like a well-watered garden, drawing nourishment from roots firmly planted in your love. By the power of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
